The stereotype of a good networker is someone who fills a room with his/her presence and talks the hind leg of a donkey.
Refer-on is not for people like that. It is great for good, reliable business people who you can trust and would recommend.
It encourages each geographic group to form a hub of skills and professions which each member feels comfortable using and recommending.
Before I joined Refer-On I had either a distant or nonexistent relationship with my bank manager, accountant, IFA, business coach, or virtual assistant. Now following a number of changes I have breakfast every Friday with them and I happily recommend their skills to any of my contacts.
I see my Refer-on business hub members in Action every week, which gives me the confidence to recommend them. It is not pushy; there is no referral slips or leader boards, its good old-fashioned sessions of business advice and discussion.
It has saved me and made me money; that is why I recommend it.

I very much enjoyed the event. It was worth waking up at 3.00pm in the morning, for the Hub Showcase.
Both the speakers were very good. It was lovely to be able to meet and speak with Richard Farleigh, as I am a big fan of the Dragon’s Den. (Not that I am star struck – it’s business!)
Well done to you and your team for putting on such a great event.
Take care

Refer-on does help focus on a Monday morning and the "what I really want" is a powerful tool.
Adam thanks for the name of Summerleaze Vets, a step in the right direction.

We have decided to commit to join Refer-On, as we believe that the people at the top are genuine and that the members all seem decent people.
The meeting are run on a friendly basis and I thought last night’s meeting was quite helpful.
With Best Wishes,
Ray best
Despite the fact that no-one publicly acknowledged all the hard work you both put into the Hub Showcase, I'm sure that everyone who attended would like to join me in saying a big Thank You for organising an excellent event, definitely the best yet!
I always say that networking is like going to a party without the alcohol – I have made so many friends through Refer-On and I am sure the impact it has made on my business so far is just the tip of the iceberg. Thank you, it is great to be part of the team.
See you at breakfast!
Helen
I am meeting The News of the World as they wish to have the exclusives and then my plan is to approach Richard Branson, with ideas for sponsorship

PS Refer On is fantastic concept, keep up good work
Just to let you know we have heard this afternoon that the multi-billion £'s bid by Siemens was successful, so there is lots of celebrating going on in Bracknell.
Keith Wootton (Kennetiq) and Anna Eden (Fusion Promotions) were highly (and hopefully profitably) involved and it all started with a call to The Direct Marketing Business asking for help on a PowerPoint presentation!
Regards to all.

Here are a few success stories:
- The original person in the loop was Beverley Hamilton from One Step Further - then Brian, then Marguerite then me, all producing work for Byorn and Me, Maternity Shop - I produced all the T Shirts which are going to be sold via her Web site which is being produced by Peter Lambert.
- From Anna at Fusion Promotions a Menu Cover for one of her special events.
- From Andrew Wheeler - 10,000 letter headings.
- But also very good supply contacts such as John Welburn who produced signage for a Fujitsu Road show that I was organising which were both done to a very high standard of print and also in the required very tight time schedule.
- In addition, on the supply side, Sarah Biggins of Netstationers supplies all my stationery requirements from a role of sellotape to 17,000 C4 Hard backed envelopes. In addition, all delivered the date required.
- Jim Fender from PASS supplied an excellent Printer.
- Andrew Wheeler from Last Word Communications has taken on my Telephone Call charges and Rental.
- Peter Lambert from Inneroptics has taken over my existing web site for hosting etc.
Apart from the above direct referrals - it has been great to call upon members for small little tasks. For example borrowing and lending colour printer cartridges, borrowing paper, supplying scans when my scanner would not work, etc.
Although it has taken almost a year to get to the above stage of referring members, it is now proving to be a very good source of business for both myself and the people that I refer on to my colleagues.
